Lothenian Lineage

The Whiteshield dynasty has ruled Lothen since its founding. The first kings descended from Eldan, the blood of the Sentinel, granting them long lives and extended reigns. Some later rulers inherited fragments of this blessing. Over the centuries, some kings ascended the throne too late, while others were crowned too soon. Until they came of age, power rested with Akreyn Thiaspis, a vampire bound by oath to counsel Lothen’s rulers from the Great War until a king chose to release him. Vheod Whiteshield V freed Akreyn Thiaspis from his vow in 2018, following the Battle of Greystone Peak.
