Brechilinn

Overview

Brechilinn, the City of Waterfalls, embodies the movement of water in its very architecture. From the Moonwell of the Great Temple of Alleyar flows every stream and cataract that cascades though the city's numerous arches and out into the enchanted forest beyond. The air is thick with spores and magic here, as even the surrounding woods and mushroom groves are a gauntlet of illusions and flickering portals designed to misdirect and confuse. The people of Brechilinn--many of them students of the mystical arts-- are graceful and thoughtful, ever seeking to move with the flow of water and magic around them. Many fairies and elves call this corner of the Hercyn Wildwood home.

Brechilinn takes its inspiration and influence from the Enchanted Forests of European folklore, the elven realms of Rivendell, Lothlorien, and Mirkwood with garb that favors long, flowing robes, form-fitting tabards, and dresses of blues and purples and floral or swirling motifs.

Is this Enclave Fallen?

This Enclave is not fallen. Brechilinn's primary defense is the magical forest that surrounds it. The forest's powerful transposition magic physically diverts the hordes of Bloodless away and this has kept the woodlands from being overrun. However, after the Cataclysm this magic has become wild, and no one is able to navigate the flickering portals anymore. Those both inside and outside of Brechilinn find they always end up back where they started and thus, the Enclave is completely cut off from the rest of the continent as a result.
