Willowglade, the City of Thorns, straddles the river Ymaris as it winds its way through the western expanse of the Hercyn Wildwood. Surrounded by a protective ring of ancient briarwillows that form the living bulwark of the Bramblewall, the city houses the wooden stave Great Temple of Delanara. Here, one's occupation determines their standing, with the guilds of hunters, foresters, and trackers leading the community. Their people are rugged and resourceful as a result, many of them being humans and elves.
Willowglade takes its inspiration and influence from the Rangers of The Lord of the Rings and the Ranger’s Apprentice by John Flanagan, with cloaks and fabrics of browns and greens and blacks to blend into the forest environment.
This Enclave has recently fallen. The primary defenses did include: the Bramblewall, a construction utilizing the naturally large trees to make intricate traps, pitfalls, and nets to keep the Bloodless out. The guilds had also formed ranger teams to patrol and guard the Bramblewall. However, these defenses have recently been breached, and the inhabitants have reportedly fled north to Westhaven.
