Overview

Over a century ago, the mortal world changed from something familiar to something unknown. In the wake of the Cataclysm, factions formed to answer its many new challenges. When faced with the question of how to endure the unending threat of the Bloodless, one such faction answered simply, “we fight.” This is the ethos that drives the Oathsworn still: to organize and strike at the heart of the problem, to take the fight to the Dead Gates themselves, and in doing so, perhaps provide the opportunity needed to recover the lost relics of the gods. The Oathsworn are a regimented order drawn from all walks of life, but a group with whom knights, paladins, and soldiers find particular kinship. In life, their members swear the Oath Eternal to the memory of Erden, a solemn vow to dedicate themselves to the Cause of fighting back the hordes that brought the Kingdom low and acting as the sword of the Enclaves that remain. Those who pledge themselves in life to one of the six Sworn Values continue the Cause even in death, if they are fortunate enough to be chosen. It is not unheard of for other Twiceborn to realize their calling in the Afterworld and swear to the Cause there. In the Realm of Liminalis, the Twiceborn of the Oathsworn are a lightning force that strikes at the endless legions of the Bloodless and duty-bound protectors on the quest for the lost relics. The gods and mortals alike have called, and the Oathsworn have vowed to answer.
