Over a century ago, the Shroud of the Cataclysm fell upon the land. The Kingdom of Erden, that flower of Tellus, wilted. When the people of the Enclaves saw their fair country begin to wither and fade, they rallied around those who shared their ideals to put things right. Those who had tended the land and had long been stewards of its bounty, turned to their traditions and the age-proven wisdom handed down across generations for guidance. The faction now known as the Bloomguard sprouted from the druidic circles who learned to use Phytomancy to keep the Enclaves alive, just as their bardic lorekeepers now keep the spirit of the gods alive in the mortal world. They are the lifeblood of the continent without whom the Enclaves would starve and whose magical cultivations keep the Shroud from consuming all that remains. In the Realm of Liminalis, the Twiceborn of the Bloomguard have discovered their phytomantic seedlings bud with particular vitality and efficacy when planted in proximity to the divine domains. The faction has taken to cultivating new growths in the Afterworld before carrying them to the mortal plane to bolster the defenses of the Enclaves and renewing the land. Likewise their bards collect and share traditions new and old to bring to the mortal plane, lifting the hearts of the living and providing hope within the Enclaves. The Cataclysm created a harsh new reality; the Bloomguard aims to make the most of it one sapling and saga at a time.
