Light

Light, specifically the Sun, is fundamental to life in Tellus. Without it there can be no crops or plants, without which there can be no animals, or even Mortals. The presence of light also allows us to see the concept of darkness, without light we would know no difference. The play of shadows can only exist with the source of Light. The night could not turn to day without the rising of the Sun.

Fire

Fire if often considered to be one of Mortals biggest achievements when it comes to separating themselves from the animal kingdom. Ykariot provided the first spark for the first Mortal who brought fire to the people. It provides a source of warmth, a place to tell story, a way to cook food, and even a way to revere the dead. It also bears incredibly dangerous power, it can raze a city to the ground, can turn the tide of battles, and destroy entire fields of crops and forests.
