In the times before the Cataclysm there were two Moons in the sky over Tellus. The Second Moon was always farther away, a little dimmer, and always more mysterious on what effect it had on the physical world. When the Cataclysm befell the continent, the Second Moon vanished out from the night sky.

Magic is an ever surging force that underlines the entirety of existence. It is the science not yet understood. It can be harnessed and used as a tool by Mortals and it can run wild in the world of its own accord. It can be fickle or functional depending on the wielder and the day.
