Storms

Storms are often viewed as a destructive force that rips trees from the earth, surges rivers from their banks, start fires and all other manner of intense natural destruction. While storms do cause havoc, they are also a source of renewal. A summer thunderstorm brings precious water to the farm fields, even lightning striking and starting a fire brings new life to the land and rejuvenates the soil.

Strength

Strength is a complicated concept as it can be a physical trait, a mental attribute or a facet of the natural world. Physical strength is typically the easiest to see: a person who has taken the time to work out their muscles, an elephant ripping up a tree, or an ant carrying a leaf 10 times its size. The Strength of the natural world would be obvious in the power behind a storm, wind carving out a canyon, or the waves softening the hard edges of a stone. Mental strength, the internal strength of Mortals, is possibly the most interesting. Its the power to overcome hardship and become better on the other side.
