Winterfell, described by the Knights of Reach as "paradise for those who hate themselves." The dark silhouette of the town gave its nickname "Castle Black", As the environment is so white quite literally anything other than would be seen as a darker shade.

Winterfell is small, only meant to house and occupy the Guard of the Castle Black. it is placed at the lip of where the Cold and Warm meet, but even here the weather and temperature changes immensely, having the guards take turns on the "warm walks" where different units take its turn to walk into the Highlands to warm up and reset.
