The Peoples of Gwylenn

The Yrwin of Gwylenn are the ancient stewards of the emerald canopy. Though they are unified by their shared awakening from nature, they are broadly divided into three distinct cultural groups shaped by the varied landscapes of the mystical realm.

• The Aelrids: The traditionalist Yrwin who dwell in the deepest, oldest glens. They are the primary keepers of herbal lore and the largest of the three groups, living in harmony with the ancient tree-spirits.

• The Myrddinians: Dwelling among the misty hills and sacred clearings, the Myrddinians are the poets and seers of Gwylenn. They possess a profound connection to the "True Names" of the world and the melodies of the wind.

• The Fàrlanan: Found in the rugged, rocky outskirts and southern wilderness where the forest meets the mountains. They are the most adventurous and "hardy" of the Yrwin.

Physicality: Small and lithe, standing between 3 and 4 feet tall. Their skin is often tinted with vibrant green or earthy moss-like hues. Hair is typically worn long and untamed, resembling ivy or cascading vines, frequently woven with living flora. Their eyes are vast and reflective, mirroring the deep colors of the forest floor.

Yrwin Naming Conventions

Yrwin names follow a traditional clan structure: a personal name followed by the ancestral clan name.

• Male Names: Áedh, Cadoc, Cynwrig, Ferwel, Máedóc, Nynnfyn, Taran, Murchad, Iorwerth.

• Female Names: Aíbinn, Aífe, Órlaith, Síthmaith, Muirenn, Gwladnat, Étaín, Bridicca, Rathnath.

• Clan Surnames: Gafhín, Achlann, Cadogan, Druimeanach, Lìosach, Cèamp, Dunaidh, Rathais.
