The Geography of Berg Holdt is of one continuous volcanic mountain range in the south of Poseia. The northern most region of the mountains tends to be the most fertile, as the snow peaked slopes pierce into Auresian Cathringia. This as you move south becomes more and more dry, with the southern border devoid of anything but shrubbery. The interior however, is filled with jagged rocks and fog filled caverns and valleys. It is for this reason that traversing the mountain range is so dangerous, and why the pass through the mountains remained hidden for so long, and remains rarely travelled.
