Episode 11 Glossary

Normandy: Remembers a rare private lesson from his father about using darkness without becoming a monster.
Normandy's Father: A severe Felrick patriarch who consumes glister, tests Normandy with a ledger, and frames the family's darker dealings as necessary.
Silas Palligref: Appears in full Stygian armor, nearly kills the Lion, and recognizes Torin after Torin declares that he knows him.
The Lion: Mortally wounded while opening the escape route. Vyr gives him borrowed life, allowing him to survive long enough to leave and warn the Shadowed Dawn.
The Raven: Throws her pocket watch to the Lion before the Dark Scepter transfers Stygian armor onto her body. Her identity and physical form are consumed beneath the armor.
The Cataract: Legendary denizen of Gavra's deep sewers who barters for valuables, judges travelers by their stories, and guides Bjorn and Torin toward the Thieves' Guild.
Tabitha: A Widow of the Stalkers who permits the party to cross the Thieves' Guild because the Hidden Father granted passage.
Tavros: Stalker lieutenant devoured by a plaque rat during the sewer battle.
Magrit Marigold: Stalker who guides the reunited group back to the Blooming Petal and warns Torin that his hat advertises his identity.
Zandra: Uses a powerful, star-eyed ability to distort perception and shield the party from immediate discovery, but the effort leaves her badly weakened.

Umtheras: God of Shadow invoked through Vyr's death magic. Vyr understands the power as a balance in which borrowed life must eventually be repaid.
The Hidden Father: Secret authority whose blessing outweighs the Black Queen's demand within the Thieves' Guild. Whisper knows the title as the hidden leader of the thieves.
Borrowed Life: Vyr temporarily restores the Lion with life drawn through Umtheras, knowing that the balance will later reclaim it unless someone else can save him.

Stygian Seven: Seven ancient black-armored beings who assault both the party and the Shadowed Dawn. Their armor can abandon a dead host and consume another person.
Shadowed Dawn: Gavran mercenary order whose acolytes defend the Lion and the party during the retreat. Many are killed, while survivors escape after Vyr collapses the passage.
Stalkers: Whisper's former criminal society. Its Widows and Residuum recognize competing commands from the Hidden Father and the Black Queen.
Thieves' Guild: Underground settlement beneath Gavra through which the fugitives pass after the battle.
Dread Stalkers: Zandra and Snake Eye Joe's allied pirate company, still gathering at the Blooming Petal for the party's flight from Gavra.

Plaque Rat: Massive sewer predator with vestigial wings that erupts into the battlefield and devours Tavros.
Rust Monster: Metal-eating creature caught amid the sewer battle. It survives the clash but is left badly wounded.
Darkling: Shadow creature such as Rue. Rue remains able to shelter within Whisper's shadow without harming him.

Dark Scepter: Ancient scepter crowned by a green emerald. Its light strips Stygian armor from a dead guard and transfers it onto the Raven.
Lion's Medallion: Token used to open the concealed sewer passage. The Lion gives it to Whisper as proof for the East Wharf quartermaster and waiting ship.
Raven's Pocket Watch: Returned to the Raven by Torin in the previous episode, then thrown by her to the Lion moments before her transformation.
Stalker Coin: Tavros's coin falls free when the plaque rat kills him. It remains in the sewer at the episode's end.
Plaque-Rat Repellent: Pungent preparation supplied by the Cataract. Bjorn and Torin apply it, leaving enough for perhaps one more person.
Light Bender's Hat: Torin stows the hat after Magrit explains that it visibly marks him as someone important.

Stygian Host Transfer: Green light from the Dark Scepter shatters armor away from an inert body and rebuilds it around the Raven, suggesting that the armor itself outlives and replaces its wearer.
Torin's Recognition: Torin instinctively recognizes Silas's armored presence and releases power beyond his usual capacity before collapsing into a phased state.
Vyr's Reclaimed Shadows: The shadowy force used to sustain the Lion returns to Vyr, signaling that the borrowed life has begun to come due.
Zandra's Veil: Zandra slows or distorts perception around herself and uses the effect to keep hostile forces from finding the party for a limited time.

Gavra Undercroft: Hidden catacombs where the Lion's meeting becomes an ambush by the Stygian Seven.
Deep Sewers of Gavra: Aquifers and refuse-filled tunnels where Bjorn and Torin become lost and encounter the Cataract.
Thieves' Guild: Underground refuge arranged around a towering statue, governed by Stalker ranks including Widows and Residuum.
Blooming Petal: The party's refuge and reunion point, where the companions bathe, compare discoveries, and begin final preparations to leave Gavra.
East Wharf: Location of the ship arranged by the Lion. Whisper now knows its pier and quartermaster.

Felrick Doctrine: Normandy's father teaches that the family sometimes fights darkness with darkness, but admits that the method can transform its user into a monster.
Ancient Stygian Armor: Torin recalls seeing the black armor in visions from a remote past, confirming that the Stygian Seven predate present-day Gavra.
Hidden Father and Black Queen: The episode reveals two competing authorities behind the Stalkers. The Hidden Father's protection wins in the moment, but the Black Queen still wants the party dead.
Torin's Lost Identity: Torin tells the Cataract that he is the sole known survivor of a forgotten people and knows little beyond his recently recovered name.
