Episode 47 Glossary

Demantrius: An ancient Umtheran who encounters the Harbingers on the road to the Twilight Temple. He warns Vyr about Acuras's influence upon her crystal, predicts that the Deathless Flame will eventually consume Normandy, and continues west by instinct.
Torrin: Reactivates the portals to Keph and Gavra. Sethis shelters him within the Maelstrom, reveals its true nature, and asks him to extinguish the Ithelion after restoring it.
Vyr: Speaks privately with Demantrius about the Ix Crystal and Tyve's imbalance. She follows Torrin through the Gavra portal but becomes trapped within the storm until Sethis returns her.
Normandy Borthal: Carries the Deathless Flame. Demantrius claims that Normandy's soul will eventually be consumed when Emrys requires another host.
Ernan: Secretly activates an unknown glyph upon the Twilight Temple's gateway after the Harbingers begin exploring its upper levels.
Tamarack Vale: A wizard living at the Twilight Temple. He trades the golden elevator medallion to the Harbingers after revealing that he found it within the catacombs.
Solitude: The name given to the captured Argylus of loneliness. The Harbingers' companionship allows it to become radiant briefly while interpreting the Tome of Stars.

Sethis: The Goddess of Twilight and Torrin's divine sister. She appears between Tyve and the Evenfall, identifies the Maelstrom as erasure, and asks Torrin to end the Ithelion's light so that her people can return.
Phaedras: The Goddess of Stars associated with the Tome of Stars and the Knights of Ithelias. The tome contains the soul and knowledge of a scholar used by the Argylus.
The Whispered One: An idea followed by lightless beings southwest of the Twilight Temple. Sethis claims that these followers can help Torrin despite their unnatural appearance.

Harbingers of Light: Return to the Twilight Temple, unlock two dark chambers, befriend Solitude, restore distant portals, and begin exploring the temple's upper levels.
Knights of Ithelias: The ancient order that ended the reign of the scholar whose soul remains inside the Tome of Stars.
The Vey: The vanished people who built the Twilight Temple's portal network, forge, map room, elevator, and containment chamber for Solitude.
The Chain: The expanding power threatening Tyve. Its attack destroyed the town where the Harbingers camp, and its advance remains a danger to Keph.

Argylus: Primeval beings associated with powerful ideas and extremes of emotion. The captured Argylus embodies loneliness but briefly regains a radiant form when surrounded by genuine companionship.
Lightless: Beings without ordinary light whom Sethis identifies as followers of the Whispered One. Their appearance may disturb the Harbingers, but Sethis claims they can help.
Cloud-Bound Presence: A force Demantrius senses clawing through the mountains. Whatever once held it behind the weakened passage is gone, though the remaining barrier still resists it.

Tome of Stars: A sacred book that contains the soul of a scholar manipulated by the Argylus. Solitude reads its knowledge through the glass and reveals how the scholar spread fear and disharmony.
Deathless Flame: Emrys's chartreuse soul flame carried by Normandy. Demantrius warns that it will eventually consume Normandy and require a new host.
Ix Crystal: Vyr's soul-bearing crystal, now reddened by Acuras. Demantrius advises caution because he believes the imprisoned power remains strong within it.
Crystallic: Torrin's partially restored artifact. He uses it to reinforce Gavra's damaged portal before entering the Maelstrom with Vyr.
Veyan Forge: An ancient forge within a newly opened dark chamber. It can create weapons and place one unknown magical rune upon a chosen armament.
Elevator Medallion: A golden object found by Tamarack in the temple catacombs. When placed into the elevator's dais, it activates the ascent into the upper tower.

Maelstrom Erasure: The storm surrounding Gavra is a force erasing the land rather than ordinary water. The Ithelion holds the affected region in stasis between Tyve and the Evenfall.
Threshold Between Worlds: A thin space between Tyve and the Evenfall where Sethis can appear in a more complete form. Remaining there causes her pain and threatens mortal travelers.
Argylus Restoration: Companionship acts as an opposing force to Solitude's loneliness. The Harbingers' shared gesture allows the fallen creature to regain its light for a short time.
Light and Dark Chambers: The Twilight Temple opens sealed rooms through accumulated light or darkness. Helena's statue of Sethis unlocks two dark chambers, reinforcing the temple's demand for balance.
Portal Network: A system of Veyan gateways linked through the Twilight Temple. Torrin restores Keph's connection and forces Gavra's damaged gate open through the Crystallic.

Twilight Temple: The Harbingers' sanctuary within the mountains. It contains refugees, children, the portal network, sealed chambers, Solitude's prison, a Veyan forge, catacombs, and an unexplored upper tower.
Gavra: The archipelago's former capital, now engulfed by the Maelstrom. Its damaged portal leads Torrin and Vyr into the force erasing the region.
Keph: The Veyan citadel defended by the Knights of Ithelias. Torrin restores its direct gateway to the Twilight Temple.
Evenfall: Sethis's twilight realm beyond Tyve. She claims that extinguishing the restored Ithelion could bring the Evenfall and her people back into the mortal world.
Sheer Peaks: The mountains surrounding the Twilight Temple and Keph. Demantrius senses something attempting to claw through their weakening barrier.

Corruption of the Scholar: The Argylus gave a scholar great knowledge and used her to spread fear and disharmony across Tyve. The Knights of Ithelias ended her reign, but her soul remains within the Tome of Stars.
Demantrius's Witness: During more than two centuries in Tyve, Demantrius watched the land bridge fall, hidden civilizations withdraw, superstition spread, and the Ithelion begin to fade.
Erasure of Gavra: The Maelstrom moved inland after the Lighthouse of Piln failed. Sethis reveals that the engulfed land and its people remain trapped in stasis rather than simply drowned.
Sethis's Proposal: Sethis asks Torrin to restore the Ithelion only long enough to extinguish it, allowing the Evenfall to break through the barrier separating the realms.
