Melidra was a general, one of the most acclaimed in the wars against the Polydek. She came to lead the united Medai armies of Gorgo. She was also known as a fierce warrior in her own right and many tales represent her as a giantish figure. She was blessed by the Gorgonids and given many supernatural gifts to aid her in her calling. The tales of her battles instill martial pride, obedience and loyalty and act as inspiration for the protectors of the caravans.
Medai of this clan have bone-white skin, uniform black eyes, and their hair are living mambas.
The Melidra traditionally enter fighting schools from a young age and perform physical exercises throughout their lives. They prefer physically active occupations and traditionally serve as the caravan guards and sell their services as mercenaries. In the less civilized regions of Vitallia, one can also find them in gladiatorial arenas. Medai in general tend to favor archery more than close combat.
