These voices called to the Dragonfolk, urging them toward the Gemspires. Those who lived closest to the towering gemstones soon discovered a curious change. Their scales began to transmute, shifting in color and texture to match the gemstones of the pillars. Some scales became flecked with amber, others glowed with sapphire brilliance, or shimmered like crystal.

As the transformation spread, a theory began to form among the Dragonfolk: Within each Gemspire, a dragon resided, its essence intertwined with the gemstones. This idea created a rift among the Dragonfolk tribes.

Some rejected the idea, seeing it as superstition or a dangerous distraction, while others embraced it with fervor. Those who embraced the theory found that their transformation was more than just physical—it was a complete transmutation, a rapid and irreversible change. These individuals came to be known as the Kaleidosian.

The Kaleidosian discovered that their connection to the Arcane and The Breath was greatly amplified by their transformation. The once-ordinary Dragonfolk now felt the power of the Gemspires coursing through them, a bond that could not be undone.
