As time passed, the smaller gemstone shards that fell from the Kaleidoscope lost their arcane energy, making them far less useful. With their power dwindling, humanity turned its attention to the true source of magical might—the Gemspires. Now, the Kaleidosian found themselves caught between two great forces, both the High Luminary and the expanding Human and Dwarven kingdoms, each seeking dominion over the pillars.

The Archipelago was soon renamed Dragonstone, with its largest and most central island becoming known as "The Dragon Throne." Whoever controlled this island would have the best access to all six Gemspires, making it the key battleground in the escalating conflict. As the war raged, the Kaleidosian were steadily forced from their ancestral lands, pushed to the fringes of the islands as humans and Luminary waged brutal battles for supremacy. What had begun as a struggle for arcane power was now a full-scale war for control of the Dragonstone Archipelago itself.
