Standing at half the size of a regular human tall, Pouchfoot appeared mysteriously after the 500 BTC | The Crater Conflict the Pouchfoots are a small, whimsical race with a deep affinity for the natural world and its animals. Most Pouchfoots are peaceful and prefer to avoid conflict, but will not hesitate to defend their homes and families if threatened.

Their inherent curiosity and playful nature have often been misinterpreted by other races as deceit or trickery, earning them an undeserved reputation. Despite this, their peaceful ways and resourcefulness have allowed them to integrate across many places in the world, where they often excel in the arts.

Historic Importance & Perspectives

The Pouchfoots first appeared in Ignisar around 499 B.T.C., shortly after the Moonstone Conflict of ~500 BTC, Their sudden arrival, along with that of the Hordelings, raised many questions among the established races, with some speculating their origins could be connected to the event itself. Initially, they were met with a great deal of distrust and suspicion. Over the centuries, however, their peaceful inclinations and clever, resourceful nature allowed them to find a place within the broader society.

Pouchfoots are known for their whimsical and often capricious nature, characterized by their small stature and vibrant, gem-like eyes. They possess a deep, natural curiosity and a strong affinity for animals, often forming close bonds with the wildlife around them. This curiosity, however, has been a source of misunderstanding. Their tendency to meddle in matters that don't concern them, combined with a playful and mischievous streak, led other races to brand them as "thieving tricksters". Their harmless pranks were often viewed as subversive acts, and their inquisitiveness was frequently mistaken for deceit, earning them a reputation that contradicts their generally peaceful ways.

During the The Throne War, the Pouchfoots severely opposed Humanity's effects on nature, local wildlife and their cruel animal experimentation. The Luminary's eagerness to vanquish humanity and Subjurforged placed the Pouchfoots in a difficult position. And so the Pouchfoots took neither side during beginning of the war. Ultimately, the Pouchfoots were forced to join the Kaleidosian Dragonfolk which eventually lead to the Therianthropic Convergence. This marked them as traitorous to both humanity and dwarvenkin, and they suffered severe casualties, almost leading the Pouchfoots to extinction.

During The Era of Change only a few settlements of Pouchfoots remain. Most therans, and specifically wolffolk are quick to show respect to Pouchfoots, as without them they would not even exist as they are now. But to most Humans and dwarves, the Pouchfoots are seen as untrustworthy cowards and traitors.
