Moon elves of Ito, mistaken as god like creatures by tribes of the Urisian steppes in the north west of Salaige as a result of where they came from and their otherworldly demeanour.

Empowered by the unique magic of Ito.

They see most other races as inferior, lesser beings.

Abusing the tribesmen's misconception of them, seeming to first organised and uplifted them, they then mustered the ignorant tribes into an an army and begun taking land through coercion and force.

They would found an empire that would last nearly 3000 years

Their empire's rule is one of brutality and fear, coercing the people of Salaige through might and violence, or forcing them into slavery or worse.

The empire would be brought to ruin when Ito is destroyed and falls from the sky as it passes over Northern Uris. The vast bulk crashes into the islands of the northwestern ocean, creating massive tidal waves, but a few significant fragments collide with the northern steppes with such a force that it completely obliterated the region and caused wide spread devastation to much of western Salaige.

The empire would crumble, and moon elves would become reviled refugees, some clinging to the cursed island chain surrounding their dead moon, collectively called island chain of Ito.

The lands and islands around the impact sites are effected by a queer magic, corrupting the flora and fauna in the area, resulting in dire creatures and other mutations. The magic of Ito has a strange effect on arcane spells and miracles of the divine, often warping the effects in unpredictable ways, like wild magic but with less scope.
