Crimson Lantern Bloom

These bioluminescent flowers grow in clusters at the base of the Mistwood Trees. With their bright red petals, they emit a soft glow, especially at night, giving the impression of tiny lanterns illuminating the forest floor. Their nectar is sought after for use in alchemical potions, known to grant temporary resistance to fire.

Heart's Moss

Heart's Moss, also known as Emberheart Moss, is a rare, crimson-colored moss that grows at the base of ancient trees and on rocks throughout the Mistwood Trees. It is said to pulse faintly, as if alive, and has a slight, almost imperceptible glow that becomes more pronounced at night, contributing to the forest's ethereal ambiance. The moss is soft and thick, with a texture like velvet, and is believed to have magical properties. Some say it enhances emotions, while others claim it can link the mind to the spirit realm or amplify magical abilities. Because of its rarity and rumored powers, Heart's Moss is highly prized by alchemists and enchanters. It is often found in the most sacred or hidden parts of the Mistwood, where it is protected by the forest's flame spirits and natural defenses.

Firelace Vines

These fiery-red vines snake their way around the trunks of the trees, appearing almost like tendrils of flame. When disturbed, the vines release a puff of hot air and a shower of harmless sparks. In legends, they are said to be connected to the Emberheart and are believed to guide travelers who have good intentions.

Ashen Fern

This silvery, delicate fern grows in the shaded areas beneath the dense canopy of the Mistwood Trees. It is known for its ability to thrive in the ash-rich soil, and it is often used by druids in rituals involving rebirth and renewal. The leaves are also used as a component in protective charms.

Bloodfruit Trees

Among the crimson foliage of the Mistwood, certain trees bear small, dark red fruits known as Bloodfruit. These fruits are both sweet and slightly spicy, and they are used to make a fermented drink called "Emberwine," which is popular during the Emberlight Gathering festival. Consuming too much can cause vivid dreams or visions of the forest's history.
