Events During Play . . .

Pre-Session Vibes & Level-Ups

Before diving into high-stakes drama, the group discussed life updates, pets, Final Fantasy Tactics (and its dark temptations), and a cursed pizza order that somehow had only olives. Amid this chaos, players confirmed they’d reached Level 2, with new Mythic feats unlocked and much discussion around Psychic class mechanics—including Oscillating Wave subclass with the Ignition and Frostbite cantrips. The party's psychic now flings both fire and ice with flair and self-replenishing shields.

Spite, Subtlety, and Sabotage (Monster Wedding Phase II)

The party’s long game to sabotage the vampire faction reached full swing. Recap highlights included:

  • Sending ghosts into the main hall to haunt the silverware.

  • Carving holy symbols onto utensils and chair legs.

  • Garlic powder everywhere—thanks to Zibby, the Galtsagory fae with obsessive tasking disorder.

  • “Subtle” conversations about how terrible vampire contracts are, held loudly near Grimshank to let him “overhear” things. Cantus and others dropped terms and conditions like gossiping lawyers in a wine bar.

Kaluulah’s earlier planting of a “lucky rock” on a gambling vampire was confirmed to have succeeded (thanks to a mythic point). This vampire now carried a talisman of accidental bad luck in the most literal sense.

Enter Yushali, Veil Dancer Extraordinaire

Vasuki, ever the charmer, noticed a lonely Naga named Yushali at the reception. Through a masterful use of body language and a roll of 29 in Nagaji diplomacy, he offered her work at the docks. She agreed. The two left to find a private space—because not all work discussions are HR-compliant.

Shadowplay and Changelings

Linnolaithe, freshly radiant with mythic energy, used shadow magic to entertain a trio of mysterious guests. He discovered they were changelings—daughters of the local hag coven, dangerously close to answering “the call” and transforming. In a bold move, he seduced them away from their destiny using illusion, music, and... let's call it persuasive charisma.

One changeling is now pregnant with triplets, adding a whole new wrinkle to the party’s already complicated legacy.

Cantus’s Encounter (of the Necking Kind)

Cantus, while investigating Grimshank’s delay, encountered a seductive vampire woman who propositioned him. She appeared sincere, and he negotiated a brief delay to tend to party matters. Ultimately, he accepted her offer and spent the night with her, emerging bitten but unturned. Meanwhile, another vampire revealed she had found Cantus’s family’s missing lute, sparking a deeply personal vendetta.

Wedding Bells & Power Plays

Grimshank, swayed by suspicion, met with Lady Alira to review the vampire contract, causing a notable delay in the wedding. The final ceremony was officiated by Alira herself, surrounded by mystical sparkles. Cantus provided music. Thrynnara said yes. Vampires sulked.

Post-wedding, the new arrangements were made clear:

  • Grimshank would manage the castle.

  • Alira would return to the city.

  • Thrynnara would stay and reverse some of the ghost curses to keep the castle in order.

Final Confessions & Group Split

The party shared secrets:

  • Linnolaithe revealed a family curse from a shadow dragon named Morvalein—triggered by strong emotion and barely suppressed by a bracelet.

  • Kaluulah casually admitted she was a pirate, because why not.

  • Geekaat weighed his loyalties between Cantus and Kythera.

  • Plans were made to split into escort and courier groups, with Altoria as the reunion point.
