What It Is

The Delver's Keystone is a small attuned stone or medallion, carried by every licensed delver. It is your Guild Accord identification, a short-range communicator, and a navigation aid inside shifting dungeons. Its runes glow when activated, showing your rank and the dungeons you are cleared to enter.

Magical, Arcane, Divination. Usage held in 1 hand; Bulk L.

Your standing with the Guild Accord, earned through deeds and kept up by following guild rules and aiding fellow delvers, gates access to the higher tiers.

Core Functions

  • Attunement. Keyed to one delver on issue. In anyone else's hand it goes inert.

  • Verification. Projects a small seal of your rank and permissions; scanned at dungeon gates and checkpoints.

  • Communication. Once per day, send or receive a brief message (up to 25 words) to a Guild Accord official or another registered keystone within 10 miles.

  • Emergency Beacon. Sends a distress signal detectable by the Guild or nearby delvers within 5 miles, lasting until deactivated.

Lore & Craft

The keystones are the product of years of refinement, and since the dungeons began appearing at random across the world, the Guild Accord has pushed hard to improve their communication features so delvers can reach help faster.

They are crafted by Guild-approved artificers from rare runestones and materials that channel divination magic. To craft one yourself you must be a member of the Guild Accord and have the Magical Crafting feat. Each tier carries a distinctive look, from the plain iron-clasped Foundling stone to the radiant, guild-sigiled Paragon, and high-ranking delvers often have theirs personalized with insignia or minor cosmetic flourishes.
