Making Your Character

  1. Class: Firstly look through the classes and decide on your class..

    1. XP Goal: Included in your class is a trigger, at the end of the session you will gain xp for following the goal, 2 if you do it more than once.

    2. Features: Write down the “A” feature of your class and the class ability.

  2. Background: Secondly you should think about your character life before now, where did they grow up and what did they do.

    1. Ancestry: As a part of your background consider your ancestry. The feats chapter includes the special abilities some ancestries can start with.

    2. Feat: Finally, pick a feat from the feats chapter of the book that represents abilities they learned from their upbringing, this is the only time you can select ancestry feats.

  3. Attributes: Now you know who your character is to a good extent. Your attributes all begin at 0.

    1. Background: Choose one attributes to increase by 1 from your background or upbringing.

    2. Life: Choose a second attribute to increase from your class, growth or life leading to now.

    3. Struggles: Finally you may choose to increase 1 attribute in exchange for decreasing another by 1 to represent how you struggled. One of these attributes may be Luck, a special attribute that can only be modified in this way and as added to all skill checks.

  4. Final Touches. Now you finish off your other details.

    1. Languages: You begin knowing Common, Your native language and INT extra languages. If you have a -1 to INT you must instead choose a language to be illiterate in.

    2. Skills: You begin with 3 skills at + 1, skills range from 1-3:

      1. Summarise your background into a sentence or a few words, this is your first skill.

      2. Second, your class has a question, answer it as your second skill.

      3. Finally, you may create a new skill or increase one of your other skills by 1.

  5. Equipment: Start with 2 coin to spend in the equipment chapter and some gear from your class. The chapter also contains rules for Encumbrance

  6. Find your maximum Stamina and Attack Bonus from your class and attributes. And fill in your Saves

  7. Name: Select your character name, and introduce yourself to the party.
