Thalessra, Called by the Tide

Image

Thalessra was a fey spirit of the sea, once in service to Osprem, guiding ships through calm waters and safe passage.

In an age long past, the druids of the coast honored Osprem with simple rites and offerings. But as times grew harsh and the sea turned against them, they sought greater power.

In desperation, they turned to older, deeper forces. They bound Thalessra to the standing stones and offered her to the sea, believing her sacrifice would bring abundance. The waters answered. Since that day, the fishing has never failed. But Thalessra did not pass on. Her voice lingers on the wind. She remembers the moment of her binding. Everything after… is silence.

Manifestation

The air grows still. The sound of the sea fades. A figure of mist and tide forms within the circle.

“I am Thalessra…a fey once in service to Osprem.

The druids who stood here honored her, keeper of calm waters and safe passage.

But in darker days… they turned. In desperation, they called to Procan. They bound me to these stones…
and gave me to the sea.

I remember the moment of the offering, the storm raging…after that… nothing.

No sky. No shore. No time. Only the echo of my song.

I do not know what became of the druids, nor the people who lived here.
Only that it was an age of fear…in a time now forgotten.

And something beneath the waves…was listening.

I shall grant you the Siren’s Gift.

Choose...
a Blessing…
a Vision…
or a Gift.”

Rite of the Standing Stones

To awaken the spirit bound within the stones, both marks must be invoked in order.

  • Kharvel — The Broken Mark
Blood is offered. The words are spoken. The mark is washed clean.
If a creature offers its own blood, it suffers 1d6 damage.

  • Vaelra — The Calling Mark
A voice is raised, spoken or sung.

When both rites are completed within the circle, she materializes.
