As beings who tend to find harmony with their surroundings, the fairies of Tellus present themselves as two of the most diverse parts of nature itself: plants and animals. Those whose appearances are evocative of plants are generally known as Florids, while those who present animal characteristics identify as Faunals. Fairy culture is highly emotive, with its people openly expressing whatever emotions they are feeling, positive or negative.
The Fairy lineage draws from popular depiction of nature-based entities, with the Chronicles of Narnia providing the most accessible visual reference. The fairies of Tellus are not connected to folkloric fae and should not be played as such. Faunal characters can draw on any animal, including insects, mythical animals like unicorns and dragons, and water creatures. Wings, tails, ears, antennae, hooves, horns, scales are appropriate aesthetic choices for Faunals. Florid characters may likewise draw on any plant, with mushroom hats, ivy leaves, flowers,and other plant-inspired accessories being common identifying items.
