What is a Non-Com?

A Non-Com is anyone who does NOT want to physically engage in combat by striking or being struck. They are clearly marked with a red sash and at night usually have some sort of light to identify them.

Non-Coms on the Field

Not wanting to be hit with a weapon does not mean you cannot participate in combat scenarios. You will be able to go on the field to perform rituals, do healing, etc. You cannot carry a weapon on the field, you cannot strike anyone, and no one can strike you. If an enemy engages you, you MUST not run. This risks you being chased and struck. Once an enemy has started calling Strike on you, you may only move at a walk until you start bleeding out or someone intervenes.

How to "Strike" a Non-Com

A Non-Com should never be your first target on the Field. They should, in fact, be your last (unless they are engaging with your ultimate goal).
If you engage a Non-Com in combat, you must stay out of reach so you don't accidentally hit them. Point your weapon at them and say "Strike 1", wait 1 second, "Strike 2" etc until the Non-Com takes a knee and is Bleeding Out. NEVER chase a Non-Com around the field. NEVER actually hit a Non-Com with a weapon. If the Non-Com "flees" at a walk, you can pursue them at a walking pace. If another enemy intervenes, engage them rather than the Non-Com.

Calls as a Non-Com

Various Classes can give you access to Calls. As a Non-Com, you are only able to use defensive Calls: Stun, Repel, and Root. (You have chosen to not be able to do damage, but you are able to make the enemies run away or stop.)
If you have access to a defensive Call when you have been engaged by an enemy who has started calling "Strikes" on you, you may point at the enemy and use your Call. The enemy might have a Parry they can use (as if they blocked your strike with a weapon or shield,) which renders your Call ineffective. You do not lose the Mana or Prowess if your Call is Parried.
