Currency can be found in both the Afterworld and in Tellus alike. Often times, people are buried with some amount of currency because it is believed to be useful in the Afterworld. In an interesting turn of events, currency is actually valuable in the Afterworld only because the dead who reside there believe it to be so. The current currency denominations and coin names are as follows:
5 Embers = 1 Ash
10 Embers = 1 Tinder
50 Embers = 1 Flint
100 Embers = 1 Spark
500 Embers = 1 Flame
1000 Embers = 1 Inferno
Currency has many uses in game, such as buying resources or items from merchants, other players, etc. We will have some guides as to what things are generally believed to be worth but ultimately it is up to you as the players to determine what things are worth, currency wise.
Interesting Fact: Long ago, there was a coin worth only 1, referred to as an Ember. However, due to inflation and its lack of use, the Ember coin is no longer in circulation. On rare occasions you may see one as a collector's item, but most of them were melted down to create the higher denominations. Nevertheless, if someone is talking about coins, the base denomination is still referred to as Embers. For example, a Flint could also be referred to as 50 Embers.
Currency will be a 3D printed resource that you will find in game. Each denomination will have different symbols printed on them as well as they will be different sizes to distinguish them from each other.
