Although their fondness for the shadows, pale complexion, and sunken eyes would suggest a certain furtiveness, umbrans in general have a strong sense of identity, both individually and as members of a group. They are known for having an unwavering internal compass and not often seeking external validation. Umbran culture is rooted in self-awareness and the ability to make independent choices.
The Umbran lineage encompasses the visual aesthetics of darklings, dhampir, and draughir from Empire LRP. It should be noted that umbrans are not inherently evil nor are they connected to the undead. Some aesthetic choices for portraying umbran characters include sharpened teeth, pale skin with red or black face markings especially around the eyes, black-out or red contacts, and other similar choices.
