Female Human "Circle of Contamination" Druid

Rose

Rose was not always called Rose.

She was born Nella Farlynn alongside her twin sister, Stella, to loving parents in a quiet city far from Drakkenheim. Though the sisters looked alike enough to confuse strangers, they were very different children. Stella was practical, thoughtful, and determined. Nella was curious, stubborn, and endlessly fascinated by the wonders of the world.

When the girls were seven years old, they wandered into an antique shop and discovered two strange tokens. One bore the image of a rose. The other, a sunflower. Inscribed upon them were the words:

"A wish for petals."

Like any children presented with something magical, they made a wish.

"I wish that we both were in a magical place."

What happened next changed their lives forever.

The sisters found themselves standing within a world unlike anything they had ever seen. A ruined landscape shrouded in mist. Strange flowers blooming among corruption. Ancient shrines swallowed by decay. A broken future filled with suffering and loss.

Terrified, Stella tried to undo the wish.

"I wish we were home!"

But the vision did not end.

Unknown to the sisters, the wish had become something far greater. The genie was merely a form they could understand. In truth, another power had answered their call: Danu, Mother Earth.

For a brief moment, the twins were shown a possible future.

A warning.

A lesson.

A destiny.

Neither child fully understood what they had seen.

When the vision finally faded, both girls carried pieces of it back with them. Strange flowers began growing upon their bodies. Vines intertwined with their skin. Though neither became sick, neither was ever truly unchanged again.

As the years passed, the sisters drew different conclusions from their experience.

Stella believed they had been shown a terrible future that needed to be prevented.

Nella believed they had been shown a future that needed to survive.

Where Stella sought answers, cures, and restoration, Nella became fascinated by the resilience of nature. She saw life flourishing even amid ruin. Flowers blooming where nothing should grow. Beauty persisting where others saw only corruption.

Eventually she took the name Rose.

Leaving her old life behind, Rose devoted herself to the teachings of Danu and the study of the natural world. She learned from druids who sought to understand the spreading contamination that scarred the land around Drakkenheim. While others viewed corruption as something to be destroyed, Rose came to believe that adaptation might be just as important as healing.

The flowers that grow upon her body remain both a blessing and a mystery. Some see them as a sign of contamination. Others believe they are evidence of Danu's favor. Rose herself does not know the truth.

She only knows that she was shown a future long ago.

A future centered upon Drakkenheim.

Now she has come to the ruined city to pursue the answer that has haunted her since childhood.

Was the vision a warning?

A prophecy?

Or a misunderstanding of something far greater?

Rose intends to find out.

And perhaps, along the way, discover whether she and Stella understood Danu's lesson at all.
