Immediately following The Shattering, the capital of the Clovis Conclave was invaded by the forces of Murkdread and Curos.

Our heroes rallied the peoples of Clovis to defend their city, saving each district one by one. Amidst the chaos Murkdread managed to kill the King of Clovis and lay waste to the city's castle district, leaving Clovis politically paralyzed. Meanwhile the avatar of Curos made an appearance to take two of the Rings of the Hells from Near.
