Name: King Altiar Aurelius
Race: Human
Age: 47
King Altiar Aurelius is the current ruler of Llithe and the second monarch of the Aurelius dynasty, inheriting a kingdom that outwardly appears peaceful yet quietly strains beneath growing uncertainty. Born in Reach decades after the devastation of the civil war known as Kingdom Come, Altiar grew up in a realm already shaped by the legacy of his father Ameon Aurelius. From a young age he was educated not only in governance and warfare, but in the delicate political balance that sustained the fragile peace between noble houses. Tutors from the High Citadel trained him in history, philosophy, and the teachings of the Faith of Nine, while veteran commanders of the King’s Army ensured he understood the realities of command. Altiar matured into a thoughtful and observant prince, known less for dramatic displays of authority and more for his ability to listen carefully before acting.
When Altiar ascended the throne, his first priority was stability. The memory of civil war still lingered in the older generations, and the crown could not afford to repeat the mistakes that shattered the Berathian dynasty. One of his earliest and most important decisions was the appointment of House Belmore to govern Bera. Rather than rule the historic region directly from Reach, Altiar chose to place it under trusted stewardship, allowing the agricultural heartland to remain productive while easing tensions among those who still remembered Berathian sovereignty. Throughout his reign he has worked to strengthen trade infrastructure, expand cooperation between noble houses, and reinforce the authority of the crown without provoking rebellion. His leadership style has often been described as patient and calculated, preferring long-term stability over bold but risky reforms.
Yet Altiar’s reign has not been defined solely by peace. In the ninth year of the Era of Harmony, the Tower of Soddom appeared off the coast of the Wisp, bringing with it strange distortions, monstrous entities, and the gradual decline of Mana throughout the realm. Recognizing the threat, Altiar authorized the creation of the Marauders Scouting Legion, a specialized force tasked with investigating and ascending the tower from their stronghold at Ironwall. Though the public sees a calm and composed king maintaining order across Llithe, those closest to him know he carries the growing burden of uncertainty. Altiar understands that the stability his dynasty fought to build may soon be tested by forces far stranger and more dangerous than any civil war. As the tower continues to reveal its horrors, the future of his reign may depend not on politics or diplomacy, but on whether the kingdom can survive what waits above the clouds.
