He spent much of his early life serving alongside Bera’s patrol forces and caravan escorts, protecting the vast agricultural roads that supply Llithe with grain and livestock.

Caedric earned a reputation as a steady and honorable man rather than a politically ambitious one. While he carries the Belmore name, he never sought to compete for the ducal seat. Instead, he became responsible for managing the outer estates and rural territories of Bera, ensuring that farms, ranches, and transport routes remained protected during the uneasy years following Kingdom Come.

As a father, Caedric raised Laerith with a strong belief that nobility is not defined by inheritance but by responsibility. He encouraged his son to learn the realities of the land and its people rather than hide behind noble walls. This upbringing explains why Laerith is comfortable traveling beyond Bera and experiencing the wider world rather than remaining bound to courtly life.
