Name: Lord Percival Galahad
Age: 49
Race: Human

Lord Percival Galahad stands as one of the most quietly powerful figures in Llithe. While kings command armies and archmages shape the flow of Mana, Percival commands something far more subtle and enduring: movement. From his seat in the trade city of Hearth, he oversees the Galahad Trading Guild, the institution responsible for regulating the flow of goods, contracts, and coin throughout the realm. Caravans that leave Bera’s golden fields, ships that arrive in Cold Harbor, and engineered goods forged in Xemascus all eventually pass through a network that answers, directly or indirectly, to Galahad ledgers.

Percival did not inherit this system fully formed. When he first assumed leadership of House Galahad, trade within Llithe was fragmented. Routes existed, but they were poorly documented, poorly guarded, and often manipulated by local interests. Percival reorganized the entire system into the now famous Thirteen Trade Routes of Llithe, each mapped, cataloged, and tracked through the Guild’s Trade Registry Office in Hearth. Caravan masters were licensed, cargo manifests standardized, and escort rotations introduced. What once relied on rumor and instinct became an economic machine governed by recordkeeping, discipline, and predictability.

Though widely respected, Percival is not a man driven by wealth alone. His greatest fascination lies in information flow, not coin. He often remarks that trade is simply the physical expression of knowledge moving through the world. Markets reveal unrest before rebellions begin. Shipping delays reveal war preparations before armies mobilize. Shortages of metal signal new weapons being forged somewhere unseen. Through this philosophy he transformed the Galahad guild from a merchant organization into something resembling an intelligence network.

To safeguard this system, Percival authorized the creation of Organization XIII, a discreet but highly capable enforcement body tasked with protecting high value shipments and investigating irregularities across the routes. Officially they are cargo guardians and security specialists. Unofficially, they function as watchers of the roads. Members are trained not only in combat but in observation, infiltration, and political awareness. Their presence ensures that threats to trade are often resolved before they become public crises.

Despite his reach, Percival rarely appears domineering. He dresses simply for a noble, favoring structured travel coats rather than ornate robes, and often walks the market districts of Hearth without escort. Merchants find him approachable, though never predictable. He listens more than he speaks, allowing others to reveal their intentions through careless conversation. Many leave meetings with him believing they have gained advantage, only to later discover they have been gently guided toward outcomes that strengthen the Guild’s broader stability.

His relationship with King Altair Aurelius is one of mutual dependence and cautious respect. The crown understands that a stable economy sustains the kingdom’s military and infrastructure, while Percival understands that royal authority protects the routes from fragmentation. Yet the two men approach power very differently. Altair commands openly from Reach. Percival prefers to influence events from Hearth through contracts, supply lines, and quiet negotiations.
