The party meets in Heathford and hears of a foreign merchant, Orvald Grey looking for Wyvern eggs. They meet with a Noto the Shepherd to discuss a sighting, along a series of hills to the southwest.
The party sets out, and camps just outside of the Vauxwood, and are surprised by a hunting Giant Owl. They are able to slay the beast, but not before Xander Caladrius is injured. Ur Magnus follows the bird's tracks and discovers a clutch of eggs.
Continuing on, the party finds the tower where a wyvern has been roosting, upon a cliff that no longer has physical contact with the mainland out in the Wythal Bay. Witnessing a cave, they investigate, finding a Troll named Slorth and a Goblins Witch named Spiderteeth. She asks them to find a black diadem from the tower.
They follow a set of stairs inside her cave to the upper portion of the cliff, and take a swinging bridge over to the tower, after securing it with ropes.
Inside they battle Stirges and discover the coffin of a trapped Vampire. Proceeding upwards, they find the hidden diadem, but are attacked by a Shadow guarding it, and are able to defeat the creature by means of Holy Water.
As they reach the top of the tower the wyvern returns, and while stealing eggs Xavier is attacked, but Bert steps in and takes the blow for him. They drag him back along with several eggs, and a magical sword named Lightbrand. Spiderteeth heals Bert, and the party makes off as Spiderteeth uses the diadem to slot into a crown, cackling with future plans.
