Whether this is your first Dungeons & Dragons game, your first online game, or your hundredth campaign, you're welcome here.
At Morelord Gaming, the goal is simple: have fun telling an amazing story together.
You don't need to be a rules expert.
You don't need to know every class, spell, or condition.
You don't need to be familiar with Foundry Virtual Tabletop.
You just need a willingness to jump into an adventure.
Many players join my games with little or no experience in D&D, Foundry VTT, or online roleplaying. That's completely okay. I'll help you learn the game, learn the tools, and get comfortable with both as we play.
Everyone starts somewhere, and helping new players discover the hobby is one of my favorite parts of being a Game Master.

During games use our D&D Cheat Sheets!
Start here: Learn to Play Foundry
You are never expected to know Foundry before joining a game. If you can use a web browser, you can learn Foundry.
A great game starts with trust and respect.
Before campaigns begin, we'll discuss expectations, boundaries, and play styles during Session Zero. We also use safety tools that allow players to privately communicate concerns during a session.

Your comfort always comes before the game.
One of the most common questions I receive is:
"What do I need to play?"
The answer is surprisingly little.
β Computer or laptop
β Internet connection
β Microphone
π₯ Webcam
π§ Headset or earbuds
β Foundry VTT purchase
β D&D Beyond subscription
β Rulebooks
β Physical dice
β Special software
If you can join Discord and open a website, you're ready to play.
Our virtual tabletop where maps, tokens, character sheets, combat, dice rolls, handouts, and visual effects come together.
Don't worry if you've never used it before. Most new players learn the basics during their first session.
Used for voice chat, community discussions, scheduling, announcements, and between-session communication.
You are currently looking at the Morelord Gaming Wiki but there is also a separate wiki for every campaign we run. It contains lore, house rules, handouts, maps, recaps, tutorials, and reference materials. You can find a link to your campaign wiki on the Schedules page.
When streaming, which is totally optional, I never show real names or images of real faces. We use character portraits/avatars and character names.
The service that animates your character avatar for streaming is Reactive Fugi Tech. I created a tutorial video for how to set it up.
The rules matter, but creating memorable stories matters more.
Combat is meaningful, challenging, and rewarding. Smart decisions matter.
Your character's choices help shape the story and the world around them.
The best stories happen when heroes work together. Just keep an eye out on the party rogue, he may be skimping off the top!
New to D&D? Great.
New to Foundry? Great.
New to roleplaying? Great.
Questions are encouraged and mistakes are expected.
Everyone was new once.
Adventure awaits.
Maybe you'll uncover a lost civilization.
Maybe you'll save a kingdom.
Maybe you'll accidentally adopt a goblin and spend the next six months protecting it.
Whatever happens, we're glad you're here.
Welcome to Morelord Gaming.
