Datash, known as Weylan to the Yrwinese or Fonwaith to the Scyltheldish, is the Neutral Good god of craftsmen, thunder, and fire. He is the divine spark of invention—the sacred flame that reshapes the world through labor and ingenuity. While Seppä governs the abstract runes of magic, Datash governs the physical mastery of the forge, the furnace, and the architecture of civilisation.

He is depicted as a broad-shouldered, pale-skinned figure with eyes like molten steel and a beard of flowing smoke. His holy symbol is a hammer striking the rising sun upon an anvil, an emblem carried by engineers, smiths, and architects. Among his most devoted followers are the Azāstār, the lion-faced children born from the fires of his greatest battle, who revere him as the Father of the Flame.

Datash’s influence is found in the ringing of hammers, the heat of the hearth, and the "fevered mind" of the inventor. He speaks in deliberate, rhythmic hammerblows, valuing sweat, joy, and purpose over cold detachment. His champions are the "Makers," disciplined builders and warriors who oppose stagnation and rebuild what war or entropy has destroyed.

In myth, Datash is the son of Teiws and Warld, and the husband of Dagan, goddess of the dawn. His greatest deed was the Creation of the Azāstār: during a thousand-year labour at the Forge Eternal, he rose to confront the frost-god Ahrigra (a name for Örgyár) in the south. Riding a lion of living bronze, Datash’s fury scorched the earth; where the lion fell, and the god’s grief sank into the soil, the Azāstār were kindled—not as tools of war, but as watchers of the flame. He dwells in the Forge-Home, a blackened mountain hall where rivers of molten metal flow beneath anvils that never cool, shaping the tools that hold decay at bay.
