Suri is the dominant religion of the Azāstār peoples of Uzumzire, centred upon the eternal struggle between fire and frost, order and chaos. At the heart of the faith stands Datash, the divine embodiment of warmth, purity, and protection, whose sacred flame serves as a guiding beacon for humanity.
Opposing him is Ahrigra, the spirit of darkness, cold, and corruption. From the depths of primordial chaos, he seeks to extinguish the light of the world and plunge creation into an endless winter.
To the faithful, the war between these two powers is not merely cosmic but deeply personal. Every act of kindness, courage, and righteousness strengthens the flame of Datash, while cruelty, betrayal, and despair feed the cold influence of Ahrigra.

Datash represents warmth, light, truth, and moral purity. His sacred fire is believed to sustain the balance of the world and protect it from the encroaching darkness.
Across Uzumzire, temples maintain eternal flames said to contain a fragment of his divine essence. These flames symbolise hope, guidance, and the enduring triumph of goodness over darkness.

Despite these differing names, followers believe they all refer to the same divine flame.
Ahrigra
Spirit of Frost, Darkness, and Eternal Winter.
Ahrigra dwells within the primordial chaos beyond the ordered world. He is believed to constantly seek escape so that he may extinguish the light of Datash and plunge creation into a frozen void.
Unlike Datash, Ahrigra is not worshipped by the faithful. Instead, he serves as the embodiment of corruption and moral decay.
Many Suri teachings describe him as the sibling of Clērātas, though his nature stands in opposition to the ordered creation associated with that divine lineage.
