Firguni governs the roads that bind the world together, embodying the principles of protection, fair exchange, and the sacred duty of hospitality. He is not merely a god of merchants or travellers, but of the trust that allows strangers to meet without fear. Where caravans cross deserts, ships sail between distant ports, and messengers carry word between kingdoms, his quiet influence is believed to follow.

Unlike many gods of law or war, Firguni’s authority is expressed through guardianship rather than command. He does not demand dominion over men, but watches over the paths they walk. His presence is said to be felt in the steady courage of a caravan guard, the honesty of a balanced scale, or the unexpected shelter found on a storm-dark road. Those who travel in good faith believe that he walks beside them, unseen but vigilant.

Born to Teiws and Warld, Firguni inherited both the authority of the heavens and the endurance of the earth. Yet where his father governs kings and the order of realms, Firguni concerns himself with the quieter arteries of civilisation: the roads, markets, harbours, and crossroads where peoples meet. Through these humble places, he believes the strength of the world is maintained.

He is most often depicted as a broad-shouldered traveller clad in a cloak atop a horse. In some tales, he bears a lantern or spear to light the path ahead. To those lost or in danger, he may appear in the guise of a fellow traveller, a caravan guard, or a quiet stranger who shares a fire before vanishing by morning.

His sacred symbol is a round shield etched with a crossroads, representing both protection and the meeting of paths. It is commonly painted upon caravan wagons, carved into roadside shrines, or worn by those who make their living upon the road.

Wherever roads stretch across the world, and strangers greet one another in peace, the faithful say Firguni’s hand is at work — unseen, but steadfast. He dwells in a great hall nestled at the crossroads of the divine realm, where every traveller finds shelter, and every merchant finds fair trade.
