History

Forcry began as a small mining town named Karmuth, playing a significant role in Lothen’s rise to power during the Second Age. The town’s mining operations were highly successful, gradually turning Karmuth into a thriving merchant hub for Lothen. Over time, it grew into a large city and was renamed Forcry by Anarion Forcry towards the end of the Second Age. The city has a long-standing tradition of training archers and is renowned for the tournaments held in its arena.

The Mines of Karmuth

The mines of Karmuth gained notoriety among the Lothenians after the Great War. King Whiteshield ordered the forging of armor and weapons, and miners were dispatched to extract ore from every available mine in the kingdom. Although rumors claimed that the mines were tainted by Nedel’s dark energy, these did not deter the miners. However, once they reached the deeper levels of the mines, unsettling occurrences forced the mining operations to shut down.

The Elves of Forcry

During the Fourth Age, a diplomatic mission secured the arrival of Elves from Exotia to train Lothenian soldiers in the art of archery. Elven ships docked at Nalia, and the elves journeyed to Forcry to fulfill the agreement. Since then, a small minority of elves have remained in Forcry.

Location

Forcry is situated near the Armorian borders in southwestern Lothen, close to Stane Tower and the ominous Witch Mountains, which are encircled by marshes. Its strategic location bolsters Lothen’s defenses against pirate raids from the south and barbarian incursions from the west.
