The March of the Lion was the legendary campaign of conquest led by King Norionor Whiteshield of Lothen. Beginning in 1001 AC, it marked the dramatic rise—and ultimate fall—of Lothen as a continental power.

The campaign unfolded across three great victories, each more decisive than the last:

1. The Battle of Vlada (Armorgrand)
   Norionor crushed the feared Armorian Hordes, breaking their resistance and binding their warriors to his banner.

2. The Battle of Scissor Forest
   Facing the deadly Scorpion Army of the Freelanders, Norionor’s legions prevailed once more. The defeated Freelanders swelled his ranks.

3. The Battle of Eastrose
   The climactic clash against the mighty wizards of Rose. Guided by a rare prophecy and aided by a Sentinel-born phenomenon that silenced magic itself, Norionor shattered the arcane might of Rose and broke its centuries-old independence.

Yet the March ended in tragedy at The Battle of the Swordbridge (1003 AC). Secret guilds, fearing Lothen’s unstoppable expansion, orchestrated the king’s downfall. They unleashed The Element, a being of pure destruction. Norionor fought to his last breath, but even the Lion of Lothen could not prevail. With his death beneath Swordbridge, the March of the Lion came to a sudden and final end.
