The Darklands, situated west of the Mainland, were once known as the Cell before the breaking of the Amber, when Nedel was imprisoned there.
Renamed for its harsh and desolate nature, the region consists of both an island and a peninsula, forming a natural bridge between two continents.
In the aftermath of the Battle of the Four Daughters, the surviving armies of the united kingdoms marched west on a holy mission to cleanse the kingdom of the Cell from the lingering evils.
Their campaign echoed the legendary First Quest of the Era of the Hunter.
Numerous battles erupted throughout the Darklands, as the forces of the kingdoms fought against the surviving officers of Nedel’s armies.
