The Battle of Shadowbarge was a monumental clash between the invading Maor Elves of Arcanara and the native Elves of Exotia.

Descending from the sky in massive zeppelins, the Maor forces struck the Hedgewood, intent on seizing the city of Osteria and forging a land bridge between northern and central Exotia. For years, the northern Elves—long sympathetic to Arcanara’s rulers—had whispered of rebellion. When the invasion finally came, it was met with fierce resistance.

The defense of Exotia prevailed. The Maor Elves were utterly routed and slaughtered beneath the shadows of their own airships.

In the aftermath, a binding treaty was forged with the northern Elders of Exotia, imposing strict limits on their power, influence, and all communication with Arcanara. The victory at Shadowbarge forced the fractured elven people to unite as never before, marking the true birth of Exotia as a cohesive nation.

In the wake of this defining triumph, Nathos Spellhold was elected the first official Great Elder, succeeding Laira, the First Phoenix, and assuming rule over all the Elves of Exotia.
