In the northern reaches of the Wonndt Relleus Empire, where imperial law thins beneath distance, the great system of Companies endures, but warped by need. In Aelsheus, a Company’s charter is as much a matter of tradition and survival as legality. Imperial bureaus and sanctioned orders cling to the city states, while local guilds, mercenaries, and cults flourish in the hinterlands beyond the Emperor’s sight. Together they form a tangled web of power and faith.
Imperial Cult of the Wonndt Relleus, believing the emperor is Rell Reborn.
Imperial Legions of the Northern reaches of Wonndt Relleus
Largest Imperial banking and trade organization in the entire empire, even having a strong presence in the fringes of the North. This Gold Company borders on being a white company with their prayer to Denri.
Adventurers and explorers who map the ruins of the north, many of them descendants of southern Bronze charter-holders gone native. Their guildhalls double as inns for wanderers.
Brotherhood of the Forge and Flame, the Hammered Vein is the great brotherhood of blacksmiths, metallurgists, and artificers that dominates Aelsheus’ forges and workshops.
School founded recently under the tutelage of Oltvar, of the five. Respected through Oltvar, but unfavorable amongst other schools.
The most respected scholarly college of Wonndt Relleus, dating before the empire's founding. Ambrek has passed long ago, but the college still stands.
Founded by famed veilaan artist and mathematician Meurha, their employ is often through governments.
Smugglers turned merchant princes, controlling the black markets of ore and relics between Aelsheus and the unconquered lands. They bribe Yellow auditors and hire Red deserters for protection.
Wiedt the Tiller, Brabb the Root-Mother, Eingachs the Feast-Father
A harvest cult common among rural Krinn, Jiran farmers, wandering Flummish brewers, and Adras shepherd-bands. It binds three gods into a single sacred cycle: Growth — Struggle — Celebration.
Susscho the Beautiful Mother of Wisdom
The Cult of the Mirror Veil is predominantly a sisterhood, though any gender may join. Its temples are moonlit salons, perfumed chambers, and egg-gardens where priestesses raise sacred, luminescent insects in carved alabaster nests.
He who rules the sea and storms, Gresch
A maritime cult rooted in coastal cities, led by Wave-Kings and Salt-Priests.
Each temple stands on a pier shaped like a throne half-sunk into the waves.
Membership includes sailors, pearl-divers, shipwrights, and littoral krinn clans.
Black priests praying to Lötek, god of Time and Judgment
This cult operates mortuaries, archives, and courts.
Priests wear black sand patterns on their chitin, and temples contain vast hourglass towers whose sands fall with the slow turn of seasons.
Prenom the Artful Trickster
A wandering artistic fellowship of performers, playwrights, mimes, and sorrow-priests.
Their temples are theaters and public squares.
