Stargaze Plateau

Perched on a remote hill near Arlèn’ton, the Stargaze Plateau is an ancient observatory with a history as old as the stars themselves. Established centuries ago to study the enigmatic 080 BTC | The Kaleidoscope Phenomena, it once bore witness to the grandeur of the cosmos long before the Fall of Arnewynd. Over time, however, it was abandoned and left to the quiet of wind and stone, cloaked in the shadows of history.

In recent years, the plateau entered a new chapter. Driven by curiosity and a dedication to restoration, the Taufolk undertook the task of breathing life back into the observatory. Weathered instruments were repaired, star charts dusted off, and the stone terraces cleared of debris, returning the site to its former purpose.

Visitors to the plateau today are rare but often welcomed by its caretakers. Johannah, a deerfolk scholar, and Astrhorn, her Taufolk husband, tend to the grounds and maintain the ancient instruments. The head of the observatory, Astraea, a towering and charismatic Taufolk, oversees the plateau with both wisdom and care, guiding visitors and scholars in their study of the heavens while preserving the site’s ancient traditions.

Pillars around the observatory are carved with enigmatic symbols known as The Concepts. These carvings suggest that the observatory was once a place not only of observation, but of teaching and meditation on the forces that shape the world.

Today, the observatory stands as a sanctuary of stars once more. Astronomers and travelers seeking insight converge upon its terraces, drawn by both the beauty of the night sky and the whispers of an age-old mystery written in the cosmos...
