On the western end of The Tongue, where the narrow land bridge connects Concordia to the Sevenfold Commonwealth, stands Concordia’s Base, a fortified outpost guarding the kingdom’s border. Its stone walls and watchtowers command the rugged terrain, deterring outlaws and smugglers who might seek to exploit the passage.
During the fall and winter seasons, when The Tongue becomes more accessible, the outpost becomes especially active, monitoring travelers and caravans to ensure safe passage between the two nations. More than a military post, Concordia’s Base also serves as a waypoint for merchants and diplomats, a place where alliances are reinforced and the first signs of Concordian hospitality meet those entering the kingdom.
