Sevenfold Defenders

152 years after the Therianthrophic Convergence, peace between the six Theran races and the remaining human settlements was officially established. These new cities, towns and settlements started to thrive across all of the continent. Nationwide laws, security, and trade routes were established. All these agreements were called 'The Accord that folds in Seven'. The peace established throughout Sevenfold lead to an influx of population growth.

This was the start of the Era of Accords which lead to the formation of the "Sevenfold Commonwealth". As the sun shines on Sevenfold, rivers flow through forests, and villages bustle with life. The past is not forgotten, but now there is peace and hope.

Regions

Although Sevenfold holds indeed seven large settlements and there are no strict borders. The continent itself is typically referred to as separated into eight 'regions'.

Geography

Sevenfold has many meandering rivers that weave their way through the land, nourishing the fertile fields that provide bountiful harvests. Majestic forests stand as sentinels, their ancient trees housing secrets whispered through generations. Many of these forests have been (re-)claimed by the different races of Therans. Toward the north, the land rises into rugged highlands, bordering the Bristlefur Highlands, where craggy peaks pierce the sky.

Sevenfold's climate is as diverse as its inhabitants, with delicate blossoms gracing the trees and meadows in Spring. Summer's embrace brings warmth that caresses the land, coaxing vibrant wildflowers to bloom in every corner. Villages come alive with fairs and festivities, where music and merriment weave together. Come autumn, Sevenfold transforms, as the leaves turn into an amalgamation of oranges, reds, and golds. The air carries a crisp edge, invigorating the senses and inviting all to take long walks among nature's artwork. Yet, it is the brisk winters that hold a special place in the hearts of Sevenfold's inhabitants. The land is blanketed in a serene white coat, and the world seems to slow down. It's a time for quiet reflection by the fireside, for sharing stories as snowflakes dance outside the windows.

Political Relationships

Before the Therianthropic Convergence, the kingdom of Arnewynd had strong relations with Borealreach, Maraya and Sunfire, yet they were always at odds with Aurora. In the early years after the Therianthrophic Convergence, all these relations were cut off during the The Era of Beasts and the nation was left to fend for itself, which ultimately lead to the situation that humanity was pushed to the edges of the continent.

After the establishment of the Accord things changed. Contact with Concordia was established and trade occurred ever since due to the 200 ATC | Lion & Deer Alliance.
This rapidly expanded over time, with the creation of new long-lasting alliances. Although there are still many humans who harbor negative feelings towards the Therans, many of the younger generation do not share those resentments.

It is typical for most of the same kind of Theran to live near their capital, yet intermingling and even interracial relationships are not uncommon within Sevenfold. However, many humans are opposed to these relationships, and to traditional wolffolk, they do not fit with their 'arrange marriage' culture.

Government

Sevenfold holds 7 large cities which act as the capital for that specific race.

  • Foxfolk, Spellwhisk

  • Wolffolk, Howlstead

  • Bearfolk, Tranquilpine

  • Deerfolk, Velvetglade

  • Harefolk, Fleetfoot

  • Taufolk, Gentlebreeze

  • Humans, Arnewynd's Endure

Sevenfold's governance rotates twice per year. During Spring and Summers the capital Spellwhisk, home to the Foxfolk is used for governmental affairs, which transitions to Velvetglade through Autumn and Winter. Sevenfold's system is a unique blend of democracy, mixed with part monarchy and part meritocracy. For example, Wolffolk focus on merit and strength, while humanity still hold a monarchial choice.

The leaders of "The Council of Seven" are nominated by the individual capitals of those particular Therans or humans, with an eighth individual acting as their speaker but often referred to as "Leader". How those seven are chosen, is decided by the individual capitals themselves. With the eight one appointed by the council itself.

Most decisions which require nationwide attention are done by the Council through Majority voting with the rare chance that the Council Leader has to enact the swinging vote or enact their veto right.
