The Bristlefur Highlands has no form of overarching government. The road towards Borealreach up until the town of Snowtouch are considered within the jurisdiction of Stormglen. The City of Stormglen is considered the capital city within Bristefur Highlands, but after the Convergence, it can hardly be called that.
The Woods North of the Silver Road have been claimed by individual tribes of Therans or Hordelings, either as outcasts from the Sevenfold or those who rejected it. Although many live in recluse, sometimes small incidents occur from time to time. Before the Therianthrophic Convergence, the coastal region near Stormglen was once known as Stormglen Bay, but it eventually became known as "The Silver Bay".
Government
The region of Bristlefur Highlands has no form of overarching government, the road towards Borealreach are considered within the domain of Stormglen and are guarded by the Stormglen Guard. The Silverveil Woods and the mountains have been claimed by the many individual tribes or settlements of Hordelings or Therans that live there, either as outcasts from the Sevenfold or those who rejected it.
Political Relationships
Before the Therianthropic Convergence, the kingdom of Arnewynd and the Dwarves of Faldihr held many fortresses, towns and trading settlements within this region. These were destroyed and left abandoned when the original inhabitants were forced to relocate.
When the Hordelings arrived on Ignisar, the largest body of forest became veiled in an even thicker silvery hue than it was originally known for and became even more closed off from the rest of world. When the Sevenfold Commonwealth was established, those who did not agree with the 'peace', were forced to retreat into the Bristlefur Highlands, which caused new conflicts to occur...
Although Silven Stormglen became known as the capital of Bristlefur Highlands, it is so far removed from the northern Highlands, yet this is where the most important resources of this region are located...
