Their influence extends into customs, banking, and the regulation of guilds, ensuring that all commerce benefits the city-state and adheres to Ashmuth’s strict financial laws.

Operating in close collaboration with both the Ashen Council and the Shadow Court, the Coinwardens monitor transactions for fraud, smuggling, and market manipulation, ensuring that Ashmuth’s economic dominance remains unchallenged.

Structure
Led by the Master of the Mint, the Coinwardens operate through a network of Inspectors, Trade Auditors, and Tax Collectors stationed throughout the city, harbor, and key trade routes. They work with both the Watch and the Shadow Court when financial crimes demand harsher intervention.
