Session 17 - October 19, 2025

After successfully eliminating all the undead in the Tomb of the Iron God, the PCs head for Gosterwick, a 3-day march from Deepton. Dodger Graves is already plotting how to recover her lost goods, including her silver tiara, which she intertwined with her mistletoe. Without it, she is unable to cast any spells.

The party enters Gosterwick via the Stone Gate and heads directly for The Stunned Acolyte Inn, where they seem surprised to discover that an inn that caters to the upper class finds them a poor fit. They are road-hardened warriors, covered in wounds, bruises and whatever goo is spilled when you slaughter the undead, but seem to genuinely expect the royal treatment because they have a few bucks in their pockets. To make matters worse, the smell from the kitchen is incredible - and the newly initiated members of the Order of the Bloody Cuff are doubly intrigued.

Alas, they are turned away by the owner (Ulf Vareon) like common riffraff, and being who they are, decide that come hell or high water, they will be dining at this establishment and treated with some gods-damned respect.

In the meantime, they make their way back across town to The Yellow Cloak Inn, whhere Margot the Red welcomes them much more warmly. They book a couple of suites and head to Kaleo's Bathhouse, where Thud has a warm soak, Bucky has a sauna, a cold plunge, and some birch switching, Dodger gets her hair did by one of the prostitutes, Shaka has a dip and a pray, and Summer gets her ashes hauled not once, but twice, by a strapping Dwarf named Grip Ironshaft.

Now squeaky clean, they decide they need to go clothes shopping. Alas, the market isn't until this weekend, so instead they decide to go unload some loot. They start at Creon's Curios & Pawnshop where Creon is pretty unimpressed with their stuff, although he buys a small ivory-inlaid box from Summer and makes a pretty generous offer on Shaka's Sortian Bacculus. Then it's on to Chairduster's, a fine metallugy shop run by two Imperial Goblins, Chairduster (the artiste) and Facecutter (his wife, and the brains of the operation) to buy and sell some gold and jewels. Bucky swaps a gold necklace for finely-crafted cufflinks and the others sell some gems. Facecutter hasn't seen anyone trying to unload Dodger's tiara, but promises to keep an eye out for it after Dodger gives her the name of her hairdresser.

As the sun sets, the party heads for the House of the Gods, where Thud leaves both gold and silver for the Iron God, and Shaka finds, to his surprise, a small shrine to Sheebus, and a fellow worshipper (identity remains to be decided, er, revealed).
