It's a very light system with a lot to like. Reading it back to back with Knave means that most of it was familiar. Damage and wounds (grit and flesh) are really well done, and so is the healing. I don't like Vancian magic, and this goes a bit too far the other way - cast as many times as you like - but the possibility to lose control of the magic is smart, and how magic users can wear armor but it increases the chance of losing control of the spell. I'd probably homebrew that the "ok" window shrinks every time a spell is cast that day. The best part is it literally takes 5 minutes to read the full thing - it makes Maze Rats look like a heavy tome (Maze Rats is mostly tables, but layed-out in where-are-my-reading-glasses point font.
