Thorin "Ironbrow" Forgegrim

Backstory:
Thorin Forgegrim was born in the sprawling underground city of Hammerdeep, one of the grand fortresses of the Theadian Empire. Raised in the halls of iron and fire, he was destined for a life of smithing and warfare. From a young age, he showed a knack for both crafting weapons and wielding them with deadly precision. His sharp mind and unyielding spirit earned him a place among the Iron Vanguard, the elite warriors of the empire.

When chaos erupted across E’fa Sylviath with Wendigo’s attack, Thorin was one of the first to rally his people. As panic and destruction swept through the streets of Hammerdeep, Thorin led the charge against one of the two Void Behemoths that breached the city walls. His axe cleaved through the monstrous voidspawn with ferocity, and his booming voice rallied the terrified citizens to fight back. For hours, Thorin and the Iron Vanguard held the line, refusing to yield even as the Behemoth unleashed its corrupting power upon them.

In the final moments of the battle, Thorin unleashed a surge of source, while his flames weakened the behemoth, enough for the city's defenders to strike the killing blow. His actions made it clear that his powerful connection with the source was something to look out for. After the Void Spawns across E'fa Sylviath grew less, Thorin was one of the first that was shackled and dragged away, even though his efforts were always in the name of good, after Wendigo's devastation across the land, people were afraid of anyone using the source no matter what side they were on.

Thorin was shackled and fitted with an anti sourcemagic collar, these collars were invented a couple years ago, but primarily made for people that used source for evil intent. However now Thorin on the opposite of scales has found himself branded as a criminal and send to Dreadshackles, a high-security prison for sourceweavers and other criminals. His fury boiled over as he was escorted away from the very city he had risked everything to protect, and he made no secret of to hide his anger.

Personality:
Thorin is a grizzled and brooding warrior, his mood perpetually sour after the betrayal he suffered. He is blunt and unapologetically honest, never afraid to speak his mind, even when it puts him at odds with others. His voice is deep and gravelly, and every word carries the weight of his frustration and disillusionment.

Despite his grim demeanor, Thorin possesses a fierce sense of loyalty and duty. He despises cowardice and betrayal, and he harbors a deep hatred for the strict laws on sourceweaving, which he sees as a blind and cruel act of self-destruction.

Thorin drinks heavily to cope with his frustrations but remains sharp and deadly in battle. His dry sense of humor and biting sarcasm sometimes catch people off guard, and those who can endure his gruff exterior often find a steadfast ally beneath the grumpiness.

Appearance:
Thorin Forgegrim is a stout dwarf, broad-shouldered and towering in personality if not in stature. His deep-set, stormy-gray eyes burn with a simmering rage that never seems to cool. A long scar slices across his left eye, the flesh around it rough and pale, marking a lifetime of war. His fiery ginger hair is bound in a topknot, with the sides of his head shaven down to the scalp. His beard is a thing of legend, thick and flowing, with two braids adorned with steel clasps bearing intricate dwarven runes. He wears a dented but sturdy breastplate, scratched from countless battles, and carries himself with a presence that demands respect.
